"Holes In The Sky," Live in Toronto at The Horseshoe Tavern

Today, January 29th, commemorates the 2nd anniversary of the Quebec City Mosque shooting.

"Holes In The Sky" was written after this incident. Today we share a live performance filmed at The Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto last fall.

We would like to draw attention to the #RememberJan29 project, which aims to keep the importance of this event in our minds. It is all too easy to forget victims of mass shootings these days. However; the importance of what this shooting was, what it represented, and that it happened in our country seems to have been quickly forgotten. We owe it to ourselves and our fellow Canadians to understand this event and the underlying causes of it.

The names of the six people who lost their lives in this shooting on January 29th, 2017 were:

Azzeddine Soufiane
Mamadou Tanou Barry
Khaled Belkacemi
Aboubaker Thabti
Ibrahima Barry
Abdelkrim Hassane

The video was filmed at The Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto on November 20th, 2018 by Lauren Wotherspoon. Audio was mixed by Mike Poisson in Ottawa.
